Common questions

The things folks ask me before we ever talk. If your question isn’t here, just call me. That’s what I’m for.

Straight answers

Answered here the same way I’d answer them on the phone.

Does it cost anything to work with you?

No. There is no cost to you for my help. Yes, I earn a commission when I help someone enroll in a plan, but my commitment doesn’t end there. Whether you have a question about your coverage, need help resolving an issue, or simply need help finding a new doctor, I’m here.

Will you try to switch me?

No. If the plan you already have is working better for you than anything I could offer, I won’t try to switch you. I’ll tell you to stay right where you are.

What should I have ready when we talk?

Nothing formal. Just have a few things handy when we talk: a list of your doctors, a list of your medications with their dosages, and a sense of what matters most to you, your priorities and your budget. There’s nothing to fill out. We just talk it through.

Do you come to me, or do I come to you?

Wherever suits you best: my office in Ocala, your home, a local library or coffee shop within about an hour and a half of Ocala, over Zoom, or by phone. Office hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 4:00, and I’m available by phone Monday to Friday, 8:00 to 5:00. Office visits are by appointment, so please call first.

I’m turning 65. When should we talk?

Sooner than you might think. Around your 65th birthday there’s a seven-month window to enroll in Medicare: the three months before your birthday month, your birthday month itself, and the three months after. A good rule of thumb is to call me about three months before you turn 65, so we have time to do it right, with no rush.
